Phone: 614.523.1000Send John a message.John’s personality and background combine to make a “perfect salesman”. He feels divinely called into real estate. Upon graduating from college he went straight in to real estate. He jokes he has never had a “real” job.
His experience prepared him to care for his clients. John felt he made some serious blunders buying his first few properties because he had no mentor. He says “experience” is too expensive of a teacher, so he decided to be a coach to his clients instead of a sales person. Consequently 95% of his business is from referrals of clients he helped make profitable investments. He humbly points out that none of his clients (that he knows of) have lost their home to foreclosure. That’s because John analyzes each property, the type of loan and a buyers ability to pay before he recommends to purchase. While some agents suggest buying all you can afford, John encourages to live modestly and have some money to invest.
John’s friends and clients love his wit, humor and storytelling. His wife, Cheri, often tires of it and desires some serious conversation, but John says there will be plenty of time for serious when they’re on their deathbeds!
His integrity demands he places his client’s welfare above his own. He often counsels his clients (he is an ordained minister and Bible College graduate). Called out to list a home on one occasion, he advised the homeowners they needed a marriage counselor, not a Realtor. John referred them a counselor. They saved their marriage and a year later called him to sell their home as they wanted to build a new one.
John’s hobbies are muscle cars, fishing and gardening. Known for his berries, he is working towards having a U – Pick Berry Farm. He and Cheri live on a farm in SE Delaware County. They have a daughter and four sons.
